"In April 2008 Tourism Ireland organized a major outdoor event: Ierland aan Zee The event was held over 2 weekends in the busy seaside resort of Scheveningen. During the first weekend Ragus was one of the leading feature shows. Ragus, with their traditional Irish music show and spectacular Irish dance immediately treated the crowd to a great show. The Band played with a lot of passion and this immediately rubbed off on the audience. The slick footwork of the six female and three male dancers was outstanding and the joy of the dancers radiated from all of them. Musically, Ragus played a variety of traditional Irish music, from fast jigs and reels on the fiddle and accordion to touching sounds of the low whistle and the pipes. Together with the salty smell of the nearby sea and the crying seagulls, it created a perfect Irish atmosphere and of course the audience loved it! Despite their huge international success, all the members of the band have managed to keep their feet to the ground and with their professionalism it was a great pleasure working with them. "I would like to place on record our appreciation for the fantastic performances put up by FOM productions to commemorate our 80th Anniversary celebrations in India earlier this year. I think it is a given that when people celebrate something as important as we are, we expect to work with professionals who can "put up a good show", however, what stood out for FOM was how you exceeded our expectations in every aspect. It was a pleasure dealing with the amicable members of the troupe, your love for your country came across so splendidly in your performances and most importantly our audiences loved you! This happens only when there is a chemistry between those who are on-stage and off-stage and for that I have to give you the complete credit, in putting up a show that people still remember and speak about. It is not to flatter you, truthfully, we have had the opportunity of doing this a few times before on some other occasions and you and your team were by far the best group that we have worked with.
